About Dr. William Thimmel

Dr. William F. Thimmel studied at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, before attending Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. In 1983, he graduated Summa Cum Laude, earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic.

An upstanding member of the community, Dr. Thimmel has served on the Fair Lawn Board of Education and is a former secretary and treasurer of the Fair Lawn Lions Club. He is currently a member of the Bergen County 200 Club and the New Jersey State PBA Physician’s Association.

Dr. Thimmel has recently become one of Fair Lawn’s school physicians certified in Impact testing; a standard tool used in comprehensive clinical management of concussions for athletes of all ages. As well as an instructor for the township’s recreation departmnent teaching volunteer coaches safety and first aid techniques.

Dr. Thimmel is thoroughly committed to advancing his education to better serve his patients. He earned a post-graduate degree in chiropractic orthopedic studies from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, and sits on the Pre-Chiropractic Advisory Boards at both Fairleigh Dickinson University and Bloomfield College. Dr. Thimmel is licensed to practice in New Jersey, Illinois, and Virginia, and is even certified to teach at the chiropractic college in Queensland, Australia.

He currently instructs physicians of many types Manipulation Under Anesthesia and is a physician and board member at both Wycoff and Montvale Surgical Centers.
